And some are treating Michele Bachmann's future retirement as if it were scandalous.

Don't be a Dingell-berry.

Trust me I breathed a sigh of relief when redistricting didn’t land me in his district.

All should be limited to three terms. Two in office and a third in Leavenworth.

The: Johnson Admin civil rights Bill??? Thought it was a “Republican Congress” passed it and cornered J?

Two terms isn’t enough with the way congress works. These days, the first term is as a freshman with virtually no power, and the second term leaves only two years to have an effect and that’s pretty hard to do. Its even worse if you’re a freshman in the minority party.

4 terms would be good.

Eighty years between the two of them. Amazing!

4 TERMS! Too much for the Senate. The Seniority stuff goes out the window the smaller the length of service permitted by law. All is OK if one or two terms are in Leavenworth.

2 terms senate and 4 terms house. 12 years total for both.

On June 7, Dingell will have served for 57 years, five months and 26 days,...

That is not a record to be proud of. It is one to be ashamed of.

The Founding Fathers would be horrified a man would be squatting in public office for well over half a century, abusing a system meant to be populated by temporary citizen legislators and servants, not Lords.
