As it should be. The problem was never not enough police but too many thugs and the Elderly in Detroit are taking a hell of a toll on the thugs.

Armed union goon city workers sit in their police cars and collect great salaries, gold plated benefits and insane pensions. In a bankrupt city.

And they expect the citizens to stop crime with T-shirts and whistles.

My sister loves the private security her neighborhood has. They don’t waste time harassing people about stupid crap. They keep an eye on vacant properties and even check in on the elderly. They are armed and can shoot in self defense or defense of others.

Unarmed volunteers are given radios and matching T-shirts ...

Wow!

That’ll strike fear in the hearts of all criminals in Detroit.

“I have a radio, and I’m not afraid to use it!”

“And I’ve got a T-shirt, too!”

Brought to you by the same people that said women are better served by rape whistles than handguns.

The problem is that by design, the educational system created people this stupid to lead the rest of us who aren’t.

There are jobs moving into Detroit due to policies installed at the state level. The city is obviously still a problem but the emergency manager says he believes the city tax structure to be unconstitutional and will have to be brought into line with the state.

Things must be getting better. After abandoning Detroit years ago, Louis Farrakhan has returned to solicit donations.

And they expect the citizens to stop crime with T-shirts and whistles.

Only a fool would believe that all of those people are actually unarmed.

What is even more scary is the description under the Thugless Life section:

Private companies under the guise of ‘community groups’ want to assess levies on homeowners to pay for more patrols.

Sounds like something the UN would try: We want to assess a levy against you — but it’s for your own good.

Private companies should NEVER have authority to assess a levy [PC speak for tax] on private homes/people.

Justified homicide (defensive) numbers 2200% in above the national average in 2011. Police call it a problem I call it a free market remedy.

Private companies under the guise of ‘community groups’ want to assess levies on homeowners to pay for more patrols.

VS paying taxes to the city government who just take the money and put it directly into their bank accounts. Private companies are far more accountable.

Detroit is so broke, here is an map of the assets. The cover of the Free-Press has the story. Belle Isle and the DIA's art are the big ticket items, but potentially all of these could be sold. IMHO the Water System should be sold, they run it horribly...
