You make it nearly powerless. That was my point.
The IRS abuse shows us that the IRS shouldn’t exist.
Their is no way to keep its employees from acting as they did,
and, invariably, such positions of power will be infested by leftists.
If the IRS would go away (or 90% of it), that would be my first choice. However, I don’t see it really happening any time soon.
Any government worker, in my opinion, needs to be heavily vetted and have it happen frequently. I think teachers and police officers should have background checks quarterly.
It seems like every time you turn the news on there is some teacher sex-scandal, and then you see their Facebook, MySpace, etc. pages, and WOW—they were just flaunting it!
I guess my main point is that if one decides to become a public servant, he should realize it trumps his right to privacy/free assembly in certain ways (if he wants to keep his job).
