Considering the size of some of the welfare sows in Newark NJ, the moral thing to do would be to reduce their caloric intake. We have the fattest poor people in the world, and they have a diabetes epidemic to boot.
Morality does not stem from the government purse.
How many of these hungry people would work for that food?
Just cleaning at the food bank or picking up trash on the side of the road.
I am not a mean person, I have no desire to see anyone hungry, but in todays society we have a group of people who expect handouts just because they are there.

If Representative Payne had the choice between “letting the people go hungry” and firing the worthless and expensive administrators, he would let the people go hungry every time. He’s not fooling me.
