Johnny Isakson: I regret Eric Holder vote
Politico ^ | June 4, 2013 | by Tal Kopan

Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) is calling his vote to confirm Attorney General Eric Holder “the worst vote I ever took in the United States Senate,” saying Holder should resign in light of recent scandals.

“I did my due diligence, turned out I was wrong. And everything that’s happened since that has proven I was wrong. … It’s ruined his credibility in terms of being attorney general,” Isakson said. “Something’s going to come to a head, because this is very serious business.”

Isakson was one of 19 Republicans in the Senate who voted with Democrats to confirm Holder.

Congress should have know that Holder covered up OK city items, Waco, Clinton crimes, pardons, etc. Congress knew better.

He can just add that to his vote to give ILLEGALS amnesty soon. Maybe some will believe him in 2 years.

“the president deserves to have who he wants in office”

Well that’s Lindsey Graham’s usual line. Except of course when he decides to hold one of President Bush’s nominees for years because of a torture memo.

How about another supposed conservative Jeff Sessions who said “he was sure that Mr. Holder would be “a responsible legal officer and not a politician.” “

Has this idiot recanted his vote?

Senate Panel Approves Holder Nomination For AG

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said he supports Holder’s view that the country needs to interrogate terrorism suspects based on American values.

“I am confident this new attorney general will have a balanced approach and I look forward to working with him. I know he’s made mistakes and so have I,” Graham said.

USC to get new business building
Funds will come from leasing current building to Department of Justice

An estimated 250 Justice Department employees working in different locations near Washington, D.C., will be relocated to Columbia over an unspecified period.

Graham said U.S. taxpayers will save $42 million by having Justice Department employees working in South Carolina, which has lower costs than Washington.

“It was almost too good to be true,” Graham said of the plan. “But it proved to be true.”

Graham, a Republican, praised U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Deputy Attorney General David Ogden, both of whom were appointed by President Obama, a Democrat.

“I can’t thank Eric Holder and David Ogden enough,” Graham said, adding they offered their support for a leasing plan that was initiated during the administration of George W. Bush.

I regret my Johnny Isakson vote in the 2004 general election. It was the only time in my life that I ever voted for him. If I had it to do over again, I would have written in the name of the candidate I supported in the primary - Herman Cain.

Johnny Isakson epitomizes what ails the Georgia Republican Party.

I say to Isakson and others like him:
"Okay - you screwed up. Now are you just going to whimper about it?
Or are you going to be man enough to get out in front, put everything on the line, and work hard to correct the asinine mistake you made and the damage you have done to the country?"

Oh come on Johnny. Its probably not your worst vote. It would take a year to calculate your worst vote out of all the really really bad votes you have made.

Of course the vote for amnesty you are getting ready to make will eclipse confirming Holder.

Johnny, you can’t claim that you did your due diligence and that you’re now sorry for your vote.

Sorry, Johnny, but that just doesn’t make sense.

If you had apologized for not doing your due diligence, I could accept your apology, understanding that you are not worthy of your office.

But, having researched and voted “yes”, you are a willing accomplice.

Apology not accepted.

Isakson is a complete incompetent moron. It is an embarrassment to the Senate that he is there...if the losers in the senate can be embarrassed. Anyone with one functioning brain cell could have foreseen that the commie, holder, would forever be a commie.

You must be right because anyone with even one functioning brain cell can see the ridiculousness of this “apology” statement.

I think he’s trying to placate angry constituents.

:-)

Hey Senator, pull your head out of your ass.

YOU created this mess.

We ALL knew about the FALN Terrorist and Marc Rich Pardons.

That was public knowledge from the Clinton Days.

Who the heck do you think you are kidding.
