An abortion battle could be brewing in Albany, as Gov. Andrew Cuomo plans to propose a major change to abortion laws in New York State.
CBS 2 has learned that Cuomo will introduce a bill on Tuesday that would allow abortions after 24 weeks of pregnancy to protect a woman’s health. The bill would fall in line with federal law.
Currently, New York State only allows late-term abortions if a woman’s life is at risk.
Planned Parenthood outlined a 2009 bill with reportedly similar goals. The 2009 Reproductive Health Act would “guarantee a woman can make her own personal, private health care decisions, especially when her health is endangered,” as well as treat abortion as a public health issue rather than a “potential crime,” and guarantee New Yorkers’ right to receive or refuse contraception as they see fit.
“Current New York law compounds that tragedy when it happens late in pregnancy by making it a potential crime to provide an abortion to protect her health,” Planned Parenthood said. “The Reproductive Health Act will ensure she can get the safe, legal abortion care she needs.”
The current law is not enforced, because it is superseded by federal rulings on late-term abortions, according to a New York Times report.
If they live, there’s a risk they may grow up to vote Republican.
If they’re dead, they’re guaranteed to vote Democrat.
The Roman Catholic hierarchy in the northeast has had a big huge love affair with the DEMS. Not all, but many. They sucked up to the corrupt abortionist Kennedy’s. Look at the funeral they gave to that disgrace Teddy. And where is that political animal Cardinal Law these days. IMO, he should be in jail.
My twin nephews were born at 23 weeks. Through the wonders of modern medicine, they are perfectly healthy little boys now.
Based on that observation, I can attest that a 24 week old has completely formed limbs, a fully formed brain, his/her organs are almost 100% formed, they have hair on their head...and one of them was able to survive outside the womb with very little medical assistance. In short, they are human in every way.
In fact, they are so human, that the doctors who abort them have to subject them to cruel and painful neck stabbings to make them stop breathing, as they exit the mother.
I want to throw up.
Exactly...if the the mother’s health is in so much danger, put mom and child in the hospital for continuous observation. Every day they can delay birth helps survival chances...and if it gets to the point where the mother is in danger of death, induce labor, and take the baby to the NICU.
Forever is a long time. Enjoy hell Cuomo.

Cuomo is a Democrat. To Democrats every live birth is a failure of cosmic proportions.
