Mississippi School System Agrees to Keep More Misbehaving Students in Class

Don’t have much use for g’vment indoctrination centers or those who work there. But I do feel a little sorry for those tasked with “bias-free policing,” and “age-approopriate [sic] responses” when working with these heathen.

Teachers who can go elsewhere, i.e. good ones, will quit rather than deal with a situation where you aren’t allowed to maintain discipline.

I have friend who is a teacher in a Mississippi high school. he told me that he told a student that after graduation, he and his parents should sue the school district for malpractice. the poor kid was not able to learn anything this past year because he was one of only 2 or 3 in the entire class that even bother. My friend spent the entire year trying to deal with the other "students". Quote: "DISTRUCTIVE, BELLIGERENT, LAZY, SHIFLESS, STUPID" are just a few of the words he used to describe these now High School Graduates.

All you need to do is make an ISS room that plays one Rebecca Black song over and over, with a teacher with noise cancelling headphones on to watch them.

I taught in one of Jackson Mississippi’s worst HS for 3 years. The teachers there were good, the students were mediocre (because a decent teacher always can get kids in line) but the administration was HORRIBLE.

The assistant principal in charge was so tyrannical and forceful that 2 teachers (the ‘been teaching for 35 years’ type) who had absolutely silent classrooms of learning left, and were replaced by hacks. I left after that year as well, 40% of the teachers with me, and now that school is a war zone.

Many teachers just don’t know the secret of teaching at an urban school - one the first day, when they’re nervous and will do anything, get them working, and then continue that until the end of the year. If anyone interrupts, punish them immediately, then keep working.
