The Obama administration is secretly carrying out a domestic surveillance program under which it is collecting business communications records involving Americans under a hotly debated section of the Patriot Act, according to a highly classified court order disclosed on Wednesday night.

A senior Obama administration official said on Thursday morning that a court order seeking the business records of Verizon customers, disclosed by the newspaper The Guardian

The Guardian breaks the story. AND prints the text of the court order!

Why does it take a British newspaper to uncover the secret surveillance of US citizens by their own elected officials? Where was the US "free press" when all this was going down? Muzzled or afraid that they wouldn't be invited back to the White House for afternoon tea?

It would be interesting to see the stats on those collected calls, how many phone numbers were related to registered Republicans as compared to members of the Treason party. If we could get the RINOs out of the way and get some bulldogs in there, this could very well lead to evidence of massive voter fraud/election tampering.

NYT ridiculed for not breaking the story

When the NYT wrote about NSA spying of this type several years ago there was a cluster of people here on FR that wanted them shut down for treason....

Verizon is the #1 carrier in liberal NYC.

You think the liberal readers of the NY Times would be overjoyed that their messiah Bathhouse Barry is spying on them.

Funny thing is that Verizon is the NY Times’ phone service provider which means ALL of their phone calls were captured by Obama. I’m sure Maureen Dowd is really happy about her phone records being in the hands of the Obama Junta.

The truth is that Obama now has records of ALL of the phone calls made by the NY Times employees and their sources.

Maureen Dowd’s drunk dialing call records must be a hoot.

That's too easy: The US media are the propaganda arm of the DNC and would do anything to protect their selected boy-king.

That’s why they want that Internet on/off switch.

Next thing you know, you’ll be trying to read a story and it’ll disappear in front of you or you’ll be cut off in the middle of a se

The Boston Globe, Washington Post, NY Times and the rest of them use Verizon as their phone service provider.
