National Organization for Marriage Chairman Testifies on IRS Abuses (VIDEO)

Adding to the list of complaints involving the IRS, this week, John Eastman, chairman of the board for the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), testified before the House Committee on Ways and Means regarding last year’s illegal disclosure of the organization’s donors.

The testimony comes at a time when the IRS is facing accusations of unfairly targeting and intimidating conservative groups.

In March 2012, NOM’s 2008 federal tax return (form 990-Schedule B)—which listed the names and addresses of NOM donors—was uploaded to the websites of the Human Rights Campaign and the Huffington Post. Computer analysts determined that the document’s leak came from within the IRS.

According to Eastman, “the willful unauthorized public disclosure of NOM’s 2008 Schedule B by the IRS or its employees is a violation of federal law. Indeed, it is a serious felony punishable by a $5,000 fine and up to five years in federal prison, penalties that apply both to IRS and other government employees and third parties.”

According to Fascist Congressmen McDermott, this group deserves not to have the laws of the US apply to it because it hold views highly political (opposed to the left).

This view is scary and goes beyond typical left-wing demonization. This is classical political fascism in which groups that oppose you are not protected by the law.

But the fascism continues with media propaganda that supports the party line.

This is also why the Left salivates over getting access to petition signers on gay marriage ballot initiatives.

It's so they can harass, and hopefully punish those who don't have the "correct" beliefs.

This though, takes the cake. A government entity, the IRS takes private information and purposefully gives it to a gay activist group.

Why? Again, harassment, pure and simple.

I can't fathom an opposite example where a republican administration gets private info on some leftist group via the IRS, and gives it to some conservative group.

There is not a "conservative" group that I know of that actively harasses people, either.

The HRC and various gay groups do, though.
