IRS Reviewing 64,600,000 Pages of Documents for Info 'Potentially Relevant' to Tea Party Targeting

(CNSNews.com) - In a belated and incomplete response to the House Ways and Means Committee’s request for Internal Revenue Service documents relating to the agency’s targeting of Tea Party and conservative groups for heightened scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status, Acting IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel has informed the committee that the agency is in the process of reviewing approximately 64,600,000 pages of documents from IRS officials “who may have potentially relevant information” about the targeting.

Werfel also suggested to the committee that he believes the ultimate answers to who knew what and when in the White House and the Treasury Department about the IRS’s targeting of Tea Party and conservative groups will be discovered by the Treasury Department inspector general for tax administration and Attorney General Eric Holder’s Justice Department, which are conducting the administration's internal investigations of this matter.

Often local public official types throw stacks of docs at anyone who makes a public records request, in an effort to bury the questions.

Obvious obstruction. Clear delaying tactic. I see no evidence the GOP will provide the necessary push back against this. They are tip toeing around unsure of what to do while the Dems execute their aggressive CYA plan.

But, I am happy Holder will get to the bottom of this. Aren’t you?

Guess who paid for those 64,600,000 pages of documents?

Guess who's paying these Princes of their bureaucratic fiefdoms to review these documents?

You and I - the same people the IRS is oppressing. We pay them to spy on, harass, and incarcerate us?

Well, that should take about three years to clear up. Just in time for pardons.

Our Founding Fathers would have started burning down their houses and hanging these people from lamp posts by now.

Question is, when do WE start pushing back and taking matters into our own hands? When? Because it damn sure isn’t going to happen with the current bozos we have in office now.

Yes. They've placed two employees in Cincinnati on the case.

While they are reviewing those documents they are leaving taxpayers alone.

We have TWICE elected the most collectivist member of Congress and probably more radical than most of the Democratic Party. Is this subterfuge, deception, and governmental oppression coming from the executive branch any wonder? It shouldn’t be.

Often [Always] local public official types throw stacks of docs at anyone who makes a public records request, in an effort to bury the questions. [and if the law allows the requester to be charged per page, to attempt to bankrupt the citizen into submission.

In the electronic internet age, if the data already exists, the price of delivery is close to zero.

Of course if they need to delete, 'lose', edit, redact or otherwise play games with the record, it might take longer.
