Posted on 06/06/2013 2:58:59 PM PDT by Nachum
The New York Times editorial board ripped the Obama administration in a scathing editorial Thursday afternoon, writing that it has now lost all credibility after revelations that the administration has been collecting the phone records of millions of Verizon customers. It came as something of a surprise, considering the boards normally friendly view toward the administration. But in the editorial, the Times board criticised the Obama administration in much of the same way it scrutinized the Bush administration. It wrote that the Obama administrations justification for the program

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
I am confused when did the NYT have any credibility much less all credibility?
Its OUR fault for having the phones don’t you know?
OMG! The NYT finally confesses to the obvious....
GOOD FOR THEM!
5 years too late, but GOOD for them!
It appears that even the AmericanPravda (the NYT) can finally recognize “reality” when their noses are rubbed in it long or deep enough....
Truly a lame duck!
The New York times - Always 4 years too late.
IRS must have decided to AUDIT the NYT.
Hold on a second..when did the Obama Administration EVER have credibility?
NYT as the enabler, the cheering squad, now tries to get some ‘legitimacy’......
Rats haven't deserted the ship yet, had they?
THE NEW YORK TIMES is turning on him?
I’ve said for a long time - the MSM made him, they can unmake him any time they want. If they want to.
No. Next week there will be more disclosure as Bo’s victims who number really anyone who is not mb will ce out from under their formerly kiss b rocks
So now the New York Times editorial board and Mark Levin share the same view of Obama — that he’s a lying dictator.
Has hell frozen over?
From now on, how can anyone at any point in the political spectrum continue to defend Obama?
"Hey Marge, pick up some milk on your way home and Happy Jihad. Oh and get a dozen pressure cookers and 100 pounds of fertilizer too."
Worst loss of trust in the government since Nixon
Now?! Try five years ago at least.
Posing, Nachum. Posing.
Hussein is putting ALL of this crap out...Benghazi, IRS, AP seizure, spying on James Rosen and his parents, Verizon, etc. because it is less than six months since he seized another term...and he is making THIS the “new normal”.
We, he thinks, will grow accustomed to this, see that our neighbors aren’t being rounded up en masse, and quiet down.
So in the future, when his minions DO have their full throated crushing of Constitutional liberties, the foundation will have been laid.
In 15 months, as the mid term elections approach, Hussein is counting on ALL of this to be “old news”.....
So the NYT finally had a
“Don’t Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It’s Raining” moment with Dear Leader?
yes, and including Nixon too
The obama administration has lost all credibility, and they could care less what you think, because they now hold all of the power of our government in their hands, and they know it. Conservatives lay down and die, refuse to put up a fight, and rest on their morals while the communists take over. If you’re going to shoot, shoot, don’t talk. You cannot reason with your enemy, you will end up dead for your efforts if you try. It boils down to us vs. them, who do you want to win? This is a battle on our own soil, for all of the marbles.
I f you care even one iota of what the Slimes thinks, you are most emphatically on the wrong forum.
Would it be fair to call the NYT racist now?
But it would be fun.
Yeaahhh... this I didn’t expect. This means the NTY - and by extension, probably ALL the SRM - has settled on a new RAT for ‘16.
I’m about 94% sure that RAT is Krispy Kreme.
Never fear. Come 2016, they will be writing glowing editorials in favor of his re-selection.
(No, I haven’t forgotten the 22nd amendment).
But—but—but this is another rogue action by an agency and I am sure Obama knew nothing about it nothing. I am sure his Aides never told him this was happening. They kept it quiet from him so they wouldn’t disturb him.
There are a million things Obama knows nothing about mostly including being President.
The HYT hates conservatives more than they hate being spied on and lied to.
The Old Grey Dinosaur is starting to get it.
“Has hell frozen over?”
Not until I hear this from Maureen Dowd.
The Old Grey Dinosaur is starting to get it.
Why has the Republican Party allowed this to happen?
They are on the side of the Fascists and against the people. We need a new party.
Obama has stepped too far over the line even for the far left Times. The tipping point was the AP and Fox subpoenas. You can sic the IRS on the tea party, but don’t ever cross the press. So now he will get a taste of how vicious the MSM can be, not to mention the Hill.
Amazing how he has wasted his 2nd term mandate in so little time.
I'm sure leftist OLD fool Jim McDermott thought it, but declined to say it out loud in case hottie Meygan Kelly was in listening distance. She tore him to shreds yesterday when he tried explain why he blamed the Tea Party organizations for seeking tax exempt status with the IRS.
I learned a lot when I visited Wash DC on vacation last year.
I believe the mission of most folks there (D or R) is to make money and control the populace.
In the words of the late great Howlin’ Wolf,”Can’t lose what you never had”.
A 1/2 term state senator and 1/2 term U.S. Senator does not give a community organizer any credibility worth noting much less a qualifier for POTUS.
Shove it, NYT. I haven’t paid any attention to you for years, and I’m not about to now.
But in the editorial, the Times board criticised the Obama administration in much of the same way it scrutinized the Bush administration.
Business Insider is a rat publication, and what they are actually trying to do here is resuscitate the New York Times' credibility!
Don't buy it, not for a second.
did anyone see pigs fly yet? i will check here in fly over country if any are flying over head. but obama never had credibility!
Repeal the Patriot Act. Ditch DHS. They have abused and harassed the American people. Repeal Obamadeathcare. Institute a flat tax and abolish the IRS.
“but this is another rogue action by an agency and I am sure Obama knew nothing about it nothing”
I think you just nailed it. Obama quit reading the Times and they are ticked. If he had read the Times he would know everything he needs to know. Obviously since he doesn’t know anything,,he has stopped reading NYT and their widdle feelings are hurt.(do I have to say sarc?)
Once the New York Times knows reporters were only pulled in tangentially they'll back off and start loving Obama again.
The first time Obama knew about what the NSA was doing was when he read about it in the newspaper. I assume the New York Times will believe that - they believed it about every other Obama scandal...
Every minute I expect to see an announcement stating that the Koch brothers have taken over the New York Times.
At this point I refer to the pResident as Erich Honecker.
The Attorney General is Markus Wolf.
Haha, I was just thinking, the NYT are the slow kids and late to the party.
I think it’s very interesting, and few people could ahbor and loathe the NYT more than I do.
They’ll get over their pique by next week, but it doesn’t matter anyway, they were always going to wait until the criminal got re-elected before they said anything critical. They won’t say enough to make anything happen, like they woulld if it was a Republican. And they’ll point to this too little, too late “critical” coverage as evidence of their lack of bias next time a Republican is in office, in case that should ever happen.
“IRS must have decided to AUDIT the NYT.”
The very thought made me laugh, thank you.
