I've nothing against Eastwood, in fact I like him very much. Eastwood was a movie star in his day and made some enjoyable movies.

I'm talking about legends here. (See list post 126) Grant, Bogart, Douglas and their ilk will never be replicated. Ever.

We are fast losing our wonderful classic stars who have left us so much wonderful entertainment, and as a lover of classic films and its stars, it hurts to see them so viciously denigrated.

Please enlighten us as to who decides about the title “legend”? Is there a Ministry of Legends bestowing these titles on selected celebrities?

I’ll tell you what legends are in Hollywood. Legends in Hollywood are about wild parties, drinks, drugs, whores, rapes, wild drunken rides and similar exciting things involving well known actors whom naive fans out there worship as ‘legends’. Some biographies will tell you more about it. Sorry if that disappoints your idealized view of Hollywood.
