It is easy for the average person to be lulled into a sense that the people in power now are part of an unbroken line of ideology going back to the Constitution. That their motives and allegiances only vary a bit but otherwise follow along a steady trajectory of protecting the citizenry and the integrity of our institutions. Nothing could be further from the truth. The executive branch has been hijacked by a criminal organization, involved in the deepest and most dangerous conspiracies to have ever shaken our republic.
