For the third year running, that would be none other than the prosperous and bustling North Dakota, via CNN Money:

Propelled by a massive energy boom, North Dakota once again captured the title of the nation’s hottest economy, with a growth rate five times the national average.

North Dakota’s economy posted a 13.4% growth rate in 2012, according to a report released Thursday by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. That’s nearly three times as fast as the number two state, Texas, and trounces the national average of 2.5%.

Yup. Energy.

Funny how the Democrats overlook the fact that energy production can actually help the economy.

Not only does it create jobs but energy is the life blood of our economy. Higher energy costs are a drag on the economy.

What libtards really care about is power and control. If they can gain more power and control by sacrificing the economy, then that is what they will do.

Yes, energy. The Peoples’ Republik of Kalifornia could do well in that regard were it not for the confluence of the elected officials with the environmental wackos.

Very good point.

Then it isn’t stupidity but a plan for control.

Some people don't need oil, like the guy below. But environmentally conscience California liberals whose very lives are dependent on the use of oil, don't want drilling and/or domestic oil production there because they fear it will harm the environment. Yet those same people don't seem to give a damn whether or not oil production in foreign countries damages the environment there.

They don't overlook it.. they fear it, because it generates economic activity. The thought of economic self-determination sends chills up their tails.
