Generational politics have a way of slingshotting past those risks.

Remember the late 70s liberal and conservative crowds who were ‘in-your-face’ in spite of ourselves. 8 years later a generation evolved which found alcohol in college to be immature and hated the ‘rude’ behavior of the ‘in-your-face’ crowd.

I suspect we’ll see a new generation which has suffered a childhood through the Obama and Clinton years diverge with extreme hatred of the left. They will be much more likely to shun all forms of altruism and charity in lieu of a strict work ethic and will condemn anything impeding their ability to work.
