Chinese President Visit Masks Growing Threat To U.S.

Hegemony: Chinese President Xi Jinping begins an Americas tour as tensions rise in Asia, Chinese hackers steal our secrets and the administration invites Beijing's growing navy to participate in exercises off Hawaii.

Xi Jinping arrived Friday for a two-day summit with President Obama as part of a swing that included stops in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Trinidad and Tobago — a sign of China's rising influence in our backyard and its growth beyond being a regional Asian power.

Beijing has quietly responded to our "pivot" to the Pacific by strengthening military, economic and diplomatic ties in our hemisphere while its warships sail into U.S. maritime zones.

In Mexico, Xi announced China is extending a $1 billion line of credit for oil development and pledged another $1 billion trade deal. A joint Mexico-China statement said Mexico pledged not to interfere in China's affairs on Taiwan and Tibet. This contrasts with the policies of former Mexican President Felipe Calderon, whose invitation in 2011 to Tibet's exiled leader, the Dalai Lama, angered Beijing.

In Costa Rica, Xi met with President Laura Chinchilla to discuss commercial and energy projects, including upgrading the Central American country's oil refineries and developing a free-trade zone.

In the Caribbean Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, which is rich in liquefied natural gas, the Chinese leader met with Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and discussed ways to cooperate in key areas of energy, minerals and infrastructure development. States including Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia and Mexico recently purchased Chinese arms.

North of the border, Canada this week concluded a military cooperation agreement with China during a visit to Beijing by Canadian Defense Minister Peter G. Mackay. China has invested heavily in Canadian energy development in hopes of getting the Alberta tar sands oil that would otherwise flow...

It’s really over. I keep telling myself that, but I don’t want to believe it. It really is over.

Hard to believe that so much damage, much or most of it irreversible, has been done in 4½-yrs, and we still have 3½-yrs to go with this treasonous 0scumbag POS.

Sorry, but we’ve got a LOT more than 3.5 years left. This man is going to declare himself emperor and king. Narcissists do NOT give up power.

It looks rather dire, but I take comfort in knowing that God keeps His promises

PSALM 33

10 The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations
and thwarts all their schemes.
11 But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever;
his intentions can never be shaken.

12 What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord,
whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.

13 The Lord looks down from heaven
and sees the whole human race.
14 From his throne he observes
all who live on the earth.
15 He made their hearts,
so he understands everything they do.
16 The best-equipped army cannot save a king,
nor is great strength enough to save a warrior.
17 Don’t count on your warhorse to give you victory—
for all its strength, it cannot save you.

18 But the Lord watches over those who fear him,
those who rely on his unfailing love.
19 He rescues them from death
and keeps them alive in times of famine.

20 We put our hope in the Lord.
He is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22 Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord,
for our hope is in you alone

And all that power of China has been brought to you courtesy of the “free trade” idiots.

Poor nations don’t become super powers.

Somewhere, some moron “conservative” thought it would be a swell idea to enrich one of the last communist countries on the face of the earth to the tune of trillions of dollars.

Brilliant.

Anyone who still believes in the benefits of “free trade” with China is a moron.

That will surely bring-on a constitutional crisis and/or CWII. Of course, if they get control of the House next year, there’s no telling what the could pull-off in 2016.

Pull-off? You mean what they WILL DO. This is no longer a joke. The Democrats are completely out of the closet. They’re making it very obvious what they’re intent on doing.

I guarantee you, the second this country is weak enough, China will take the West Coast states as payment for all the debt we owe them.
