What the hell kind of comment is that?
A) France isn’t the mother country.
B) Canada has fought in both world wars years before US started.
I saw a speech on youtube given by the Canadian PM (Harper,IIRC) in which he stated that Canada had *two* mother countries.Also,I wouldn't be surprised if many French Canadians considered France to be the "mother country".
