Heck, there’s people willing to justify it if kittens are shot.

So, it is OK to have feral cats overrun a neighborhood?

If you pulled a gun on a cop and shot them, and said “I didn’t know they were a cop, I thought they were criminals”, the state would haul you to court and try to put you away.

The same should be true for cops who shoot people without determining whether they are actual criminals.

And yes, that means some cops will die. And that is why we should pay them well, and thank them. That is the nature of the job, and we need people willing to risk their lives in order to save innocent lives.

Shooting 72-year-old innocent people is NOT “saving innocent lives”, it is TAKING an innocent life just to keep yourself safe. Which is what we ordinary citizens can’t do but might be excused for doing, but cops should be BETTER.

Unreal.

Manslaughter at least.
