I suppose. But Rush has used parody and mocked Dems and liberals for who knows how long, yet it seems to have little effect. I’ve always wondered why a J. Leno or Letterman slap in the face seems to have more impact than when Rush does it.

Strange to me because Rush’s ridicule is truly comical and really drives home the point of how ludicrous the left is.

It's simple really.

Rush speaks to an informed audience who generally agree with his position. Leno and Letterman speak to the low-information voters who can't generally be bothered to pay attention.

That's pretty simple, really. Rush is seen as the "enemy" by all leftwingers. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that leftwingers see Rush as the Devil. Therefore, they automatically dismiss anything he says, if they are exposed to what he says at all. However, Leno and Letterman and the like are seen as neutral, or even friendly to the leftwingers. TV is the window to the world for most dumbed down leftwing idiots. So when someone like Leno says it, well, it must be true!
