Mystery Babylon isn’t any nation, its Satan’s dual system for operating the Earth.

One part is secular, and the other part is the churches, thus in Revelation “Mystery Babylon is fallen, is fallen.”

Alexander Hislop established this over 150 years ago, in his book “The Two Babylons.”

Mystery Babylon is what Yeshua is returning to do battle with.

The city that gets destroyed is Jerusalem (there is some reason to expect that Rome and London will also get hit, since Rome is the religious center of Mystery Babylon presently, and London is the secular center)

Interesting. I'd go with Jerusalem and NYC based on that, or perhaps Rome and NYC.

Although Wells fairly described London as the great Mother of Cities, NYC is a better candidate IMHO. Besides being a world financial and cultural center it is the home of the UN.

It is also the world's largest Jewish city. Rome and NYC. Nominal homes/hearts of Judaism and Christianity.

I interpret the scriptures as Mystery Babylon (be it a city, cities or nation) will be destroyed after the initial battle between Israel and her neighbors.

Damascus is destroyed in these first battles. Yeshua fights the beast, not Mystery Babylon, IMO. The beast is the one world government formed after Mystery Babylon is out of the picture, probably with major Islamic influence.

This ties in with Muslim end of the age beliefs. I don't see a Caliphate forming / existing with the US remaining the most powerful nation.

Not saying with 100% certainty that the US (or cities) is Mystery Babylon, just leaning in that direction. I'm more certain that it is a place, not church / religion, etc.

Couldn't pay me enough to live in NYC or DC...
