Sam Lee Morris was still alive when police found him. The disabled 61-year-old was laying unconscious in the road at the intersection of Sunnyvale and Cummings Street in Southeast Oak Cliff just before 10 p.m. Saturday night, having apparently been hit by a car.
That's what officers suspected, at least, but the vehicle that had hit him was long gone, and no other witnesses came forward that night. They put Morris in an ambulance bound for Baylor, where he died.
Since then, homicide detectives have pieced together a better picture of what happened. Police say that Roberts was on the sidewalk, just a few dozen steps from his Cummings Street home, when a group of teenagers attacked him. During the struggle, they pushed him into the road, right into the path of a white vehicle of unknown make and model.
A neighbor told Fox 4 that the neighborhood is plagued by teens who roam the streets, harassing residents. "Every night you see teenagers like five or six yelling, music banging," Johnathan Neely said. "Why you not at home? Don't you got school tomorrow? I know school is out but summer jobs? Something to occupy your time but they be in the streets."
Sam's brother, Robert Morris, suspects his brother was returning home from a convenience store on Saturday night and probably looked like an easy mark because of his limp. When they tried to rob him, he said, his brother resisted.
"When that happened I'm sure he was trying to get away from him but he couldn't," Morris told Fox 4.
Detectives are searching for leads. The case is being investigated as a murder.
They’re not teens, they’re murderers, and should be treated as such. I hope they get found, tried, and convicted.
Yes, the city-data.com website is indeed fascinating. A vivid study in contrast is available there by comparing two adjacent cities, separated by only a couple of miles.
First there's East Saint Louis, IL which is 97.7% black and has had 46 murders over the past two years. Its overall crime rate index is a staggering 2089.8!
Then, a scant distance away (at least in terms of physical proximity -- a world away otherwise) is Granite City, IL which is 87.1% white and only 5.4% black. In the same timespan, there were ZERO murders. Its index of crime is 329.3, a fraction of that of its nearby neighboring city.
The populations of both of these Midwestern cities are very close and the income disparity isn't really overwhelming between these two areas. What may account for the stark difference between these two cities is left as an exercise.

Thanks to some friends at church, they tell me of Oak Cliff that used to be nice, hospitable and safe. Those are all distant memories now thanks to an intrusive federal government overturning the Tenth Amendment and the destruction that followed in its wake.
Forced integration was never meant to uplift Blacks. It was a means to weaken Western Civilization in America and make it easier to impose Globalism/Communism.

A friend of mine was murdered by two Amish youts who rode the bus from Texarkana to Dallas, got on the blue line to Garland..
...because they heard that Garland was where all the rich White people lived. About 1am they confronted my friend and his buddy, shot both of them, stole his car and drove back to E Texas. They did all this for $3.50 cash and a 95 Ford.
Their own mom turned them in..one of the youts ratted on the other for his life, and the other is on Texas death row.
Sad part of all this is that my friend was a brilliant computer programmer and musician. The Amish youts were, well....ignorant, uneducated, uncouth, worthless reprobates who should have died in child birth....but they didn't
