This evening, President Obama nominated Avril Haines to be the next Legal Adviser of the State Department.
Avril currently serves Deputy Counsel to the President and Legal Adviser to the National Security Council.

Just wondering...does this latest appointment require any confirmation? I'm guessing, "NO"...
Speaking of liberal women in high political positions...also just wondering whatever happened to that other IRS woman, the one who was Lois Lerner's (or whatever her name is - the "plead the 5th after first making defense remarks" one) boss, I think? The other woman had a triple name, and if I recall, she left IRS just recently, and has apparently dropped off the radar for now...
