While I sympathize with her when your life problems follow you to work to the point they need to go on lock down and somebody winds up with 2 felonies you’ve become a liability. If you really think that certain somebody is going to follow you to work, so much so that you warn your boss to be “on the lookout” that’s probably a good day to call in sick and get your life back under control.

It’s kind of hard for me to find a balance when the schools go into ‘lockdown’ over a pop-tart a keychain or a nerf gun.
This is California, after all.
