George Wallace was a populist who had some great lines about Washington elitists.

He loved to call Gubmint types pointy head intellectuals.

He railed against Big Gubmint and taxes by saying that a taxpayer throws his tax dollar across the Potomac and Uncle Sam throws back a nickel.
