I hear ya’. My AM car radio days date back to Bob Grant in the 80s. One of my favorite lines from Grant: “Your tennis shoes are tied too tight!” A line he would deliver after someone’s grandma would scold him for one thing or another.
I loved Bob Grant.
“It’s sick out there and getting sicker.”
Believe it or not, I used to enjoy Ed Koch’s show on WABC, too.
(Of course, when I was a kid I listened to Cousin Brucie on WABC - - Gads, I am freaking old.)
