The weakness of the UK's present military forces is already appalling, and is about to get even worse. The full combat power of the entire British Army and Royal Air Force is significantly less than that of the United States Marine Corps alone, as measured in combat and combat support forces, fixed wing fighter and attack aircraft, and rotary wing attack and transport aircraft.

As Mitt Romney commented last year, "Bankruptcy concentrates the mind." As the United Kingdom is proving, bankruptcy also destroys nations. Sadly, the United States is rushing headlong into the same abyss.
