I don't think they care about their conservative base anymore. They never did, not since they shoved Poppy Bush on Reagan's ticket.
I think they're all about wooing middle of the road liberals from the RAT party as well as the crimigrant vote.
Karl Rove sold them on it in 2012, and made big bucks. He'll mine that rich vein again in 2016, you betcha!
