In a first, America’s racial and ethnic minorities now make up about half of the under-5 age group, reflecting sweeping changes by race and class among young people. Due to an aging population, non-Hispanic whites last year recorded more deaths than births.
These two milestones, revealed in 2012 census estimates released Thursday, are the latest signs of a historic shift in which whites will become a minority within a generation, by 2043. They come after the Census Bureau reported last year that whites had fallen to a minority among newborns.
Fueled by immigration and high rates of birth, particularly among Hispanics, racial and ethnic minorities are growing more rapidly in numbers than whites.

If that's what they want (that list can also include the United Negro College Fund, Howard University, Miss Black America, etc.) and all indications are just that, then may as well bring back the Fuller court's Plessy v. Ferguson ruling.

Third world here we come. I foresee a split up/civil war in the US. Blacks, Mexicans, a few Asians fighting amongst themselves for territory. The truth being that current minorities by a majority are VERY racist.

All these posts about our “Demographic Winter” and “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”, and “Big-Brother Surveillance” are just a big downer. I might have to put down my drink and call my Congressman or something.
I bet those stats really look bad when you further set aside those olive toned Italian whites, and Greek whites to go along with the Hispanic whites. Maybe they should also discount the Scotch-Irish because on a hot day I can look really pink.
I have no use for these stupid labels and categories that are designed to create division and fear. The only thing that really matters are political and religious ideals and values. Unfortunately, there is where we are really losing.

These kind of demographic inevitability stories have been used for a long time to push the political spectrum left in Israel. Demographic doom isn’t the case in Israel and there’s no reason for it to be true in the USA.

You’re absolutely right. Of course, the left claims the high road on values. You know, virtues like abortion, sodomy, and wealth redistribution (aka stealing).
How in the world do we restore virtue once it is lost? I don’t think it possible short of catastrophe. We’ll continue doing what we do until we can’t do it any longer. Then, maybe then, something will be restored.
