So then the 3 Puerto Ricans that they sent up to be on the jury may not have even been citizens — and that may explain their answers to some of the questions.

Hmm, I see that they are supposed to be citizens, but considering that it's deemed racist to ask for ID these days, who knows....

If the POS POTUS can't won't even produce a valid ID, then anything goes.

Puerto Ricans are US citizens—by birth.

The Florida Hwy Dept. also has very strict requirements to show citizenship when getting a license and registering to vote. Passports, birth certificates and naturalization papers are required. You can get a license if you are a legal alien but not the voter registration. At least that was true when I registered here in Orange County, so I trust/assume/hope that applies in other Florida counties.

Thanks -- I forgot about that.

Do the three blacks have to even attend the trial, since their votes are already known?

I’m surprised the deliberation took as long as it did, with only THREE honkies to browbeat into submission!

The Jury By Race: 9 Blacks, 1 Hispanics, 2 Whites ; The Jury By Sex: 10 Women, 2 Men ; The Jury By Education: 2 College Graduates, 9 High School Graduates, 1 Without Diploma

She wanted a jury of black women thinking that they would sympathize with Nicole. Was she ever wrong.

Why, yes. Black women are very, very sympathetic to dead pretty blond white women who married rich black athletes who divorced their black wives.

I remember watching the trial and thinking that the jury was seeing the presentation of evidence as I was, only to subsequently find out that the case had already been decided when the jury was picked.

I have a question for you Cboldt:

Who do you think the 85 potential jurors were that got sent home early without a visit to the courtroom???

We saw a whole array of people come to that courtroom — those with issues, those with handicaps, those with language problems, those with children, those with financial issues, those with an attitude, an over-representation of blacks ..... that all made it through to the courtroom for an interview.

So then just who were the 85 sent home without an interview??? What did they say, do, write or look like that got them summarily screened out and sent home that didn’t get the other 35 or so summarily sent home???

Nelson focused on Q4, which appears to be a media exposure and formed opinion question. Notice all of the questioned jurors claim to not have done any internet research or participated in a rally or made a financial contribution? O'Mara remarked that he thought it odd that the people interviewed had heard so little, and hadn't formed an opinion.

Anyway, that's my best guess at the moment. I suppose some of them were rejected as being over 70, or having a child under the age of 3, or on some other statutory ground. But most of them were rejected because they viewed the case through more than just the media lens. Even E-81, who was pro-Zimmerman, claimed to not have gone on the internet.

Happy to say I sent Zim 20.00 - I encourage others to do the same through his legal defense fund. Zim is being put on trial for defending himself against pet creation of the media.

That's kind of what I thought too.

O'Mara remarked that he thought it odd that the people interviewed had heard so little, and hadn't formed an opinion.

Why would he think it odd when that is exactly what Nelson did and essentially admitted to have done. And then to every pj he and Bernie sing the "red car/ blue car" song all the while knowing that anyone who admitted to having seen the red car are history.

I'd be willing to bet that those 85 sent home early were largely pro-Zimmerman because the 35 or so that came through were largely pro Martin or hiding their proMartin bias.

Isn't eliminating people over 65/70 age discrimination??? and yet that is what Nelson seems to have done.

If I'm Zimmerman on Monday morning when she asks if I'm pleased with how jury selection is going I say "NO". If she asks why, I say "I think it's obvious that the deck is being stacked against me". He needs to get that on the record as long as Nelson is playing her little game.

So these are the ones who hit the jackpot and will make a bundle selling the ‘inside story’ to Dateline and 20/20 after the trial is over?

Also note that going on the internet to research this case was considered criterion for being sent home, but listening to tv or radio or reading the Orlando Sentinel was not — pjE81 being case in point. She said that what she knew came from the OS and TV and only read AOL for her emails and some news. So then OS and TV are not prejudicial but internet is????

As I look over the list of 29 and having listened to the interviews I see perhaps 10 who could render a fair judgment and aren’t lying — 10 who shall not be named for obvious reasons — but we can expect those 10 to be stricken by the prosecution — leaving the worst kind of jury — a jury of those who didn’t care enough to learn about this case and may or will carry that attitude over into the jury box.
