I don’t hate them - or anyone. I believe GW is a good man, but blind to the principles of our nation in the beginnning and how he damaged them.

Jeb however, is another McCain/Romney/Dole. He is pure politician. He seems to lack the character that his brother has.

And if the GOP is stupid enough to nominate him, we are indeed past recovery.

Without a “reset” that would be traumatic.......

You are correct. JEB Bush is just a classic careerist political whore. His brother is actually a decent man who never thought very much about what the foundational documents of this country were really about. Unfortunately his wife, who did help turn him away from a destructive lifestyle, is a classic ‘Christian social liberal’. If you are a Methodist or baptist you can find a lot of such women in various church committees. They really think being a poor is something morally special and those who aren't are obliged to constantly kiss the posteriors of the maladaptive and dysfunctionals because that is how they interpret the Sermon on the Mount and the parable of the Prodigal Son. GW is a good man personally but is aversion to abstract thinking and the people around him that he leaned on, Bill Clements, Baker, Rove, are or , in the case of Clements, snakes and evil people. Also, as a rich Texan GW , as many in his class do, really personally prefer Mexicans over working class white Texans. White Texans have too much self respect and while they work for you they make it clear they are not your servants or serfs. Mexicans fawn all over ‘El patron’ and wealthy Texans too often can't get enough of believing these folks really do love them. It is sickening to see but it is part of the Lone Star landscape.

“I believe GW is a good man”

There is one thing we can say of GW: He loved this country and never meant it any harm. He did harm with TARP and PATRIOT, but that wasn’t his intention.
