Thank you for doing the heavy lifting on this topic, DoughtyOne. You are not alone, despite what your fellow Freepers would have you think.

Immigration is the most important political issue in the country today. Governor Palin needs to lay out her detailed position on immigration in a policy speech, third rail be damned. This would restore her leadership position in the conservative movement.

It is quite disturbing to watch folks say they think Palin can be a great leader, but then fight tooth and nail anyone who suggests she needs to take a solid leadership position on a matter that is this important.

I agree that it could very easily be the catalyst that would send her over the top.

I’m sorry, but the days of me getting behind a candidate who dodges issues is over. I and every other Citizen have a right to know where she stands on this, no double talk, no parsing, no hidden agenda.

People who have come to our nation illegally, must be deported, or better yet return to their homeland.

People who have come to our nation illegally, must be deported, or better yet return to their homeland.

I'd like to add, anyone who loves their former homeland first, and the U. S. second or a far distant second, should leave too.
