14 Year-Old Boy May Face Year in Jail for Wearing NRA T-Shirt to School (Video)

In April 8th grade student Jared Marcum was SUSPENDED and ARRESTED for wearing a NRA T-shirt to school.

Local law enforcement officials confirmed Jared Marcum was arrested over the T-shirt. It was offensive. WOWK 13 Charleston, Huntington WV News, Weather, Sports

Now it looks like Jared could face up to a year in jail. Guns Save Lives reported:

According to a report by WTRF the prosecuting attorney is moving forward with that charge and a judge is allowing the case to move forward. Fourteen year old Jared Marcum could face up to a $500 fine and up to a year in jail (we’ll seriously hope that isn’t a real possibility) if found guilty.

According to the report, the arresting officer alleges that when Jared refused to stop talking he hindered the officers ability to do his job and that is where the obstruction arrest came from. I’m guessing a 14 year old kid who felt intimidated was trying to explain himself, but let’s throw him in jail for good measure.

Arresting officer? At the most, the kid broke the school’s dress code (and that is highly questionable). But since when is breaking a school’s dress code an offense for which one can get arrested? That’s not any kind of civil statute. Let’s say this kid went willingly and quietly with the officer who arrested him. What would he have been charged with then?

I’m sure that Obama would prefer to see the young boy get hanged.

If it was an Occupy whatever shirt, everyone here would cheer his arrest.

He is being prosecuted for an Orwellian thought crime.

The NRA may win skrimishes but it will eventually LOSE ( Big time!)

Why?

Answer: Because the Marxists control the schools, and every other major cultural institution. In one generation the voting booths will be flooded with citizens indoctrinated to fear and hate guns and to viscerally hate conservatives. And...conservatives let them every day they send their children into government schools.

Three reasons you are right:

1) Fraud, more fraud, and spineless Repubs that ignore it.

2) massive illegal immigration that are soon to be voting citizens.

3) Schools! The schools in this nation are stuffed to the brim ( K-12 through graduate school) will teachers trained by Marxists in their Marxist run colleges of education. In one generation the voting booths will be flooded with them ( even if your child is “deprogrammed”

I am not young, but I AM leaving. Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. It IS over.

You are so right about this! I can't tell you how many ranch raised girls I have known with common sense have gone off to become teachers and end up being raging liberals! It is crazy- good girls, good upbringing, just lose their minds the more education they get in the teaching field. I say ranch girls because the boys that have gone into education for some reason seem to be able to resist the brainwashing.

Every single person involved in this case - Teacher, principal, administrator, educrat, arresting cop, District Attorney - EVERYONE all up and down the line who had a hand in making the decision to arrest this kid, from the bottom all the way up to the top, should be summarily fired.

Seems a day doesn’t go by anymore that we don’t hear another case of this kind of rotten hysterical pants-wetting insanity. Suspend a little girl for talking about bringing a Hello Kitty soap bubble gun to school. Expel a little boy for pointing his finger any saying “Pow”. Call the cops on a kid who has a cap gun in his back pack. ENOUGH! This kind of crap is not going to stop until these left-wing *ssholes are publicly called out and shamed.

Lesson to be taught? Get a great lawyer and sue the a## off of everyone involved, the school, the teacher, the principle, the officers, anyone who signed thier name to any document suspending him.

Tinker v. Des Moines (1969)
Holding: Students do not leave their rights at the schoolhouse door.
To protest the Vietnam War, Mary Beth Tinker and her brother wore black armbands to school. Fearing a disruption, the administration prohibited wearing such armbands. The Tinkers were removed from school when they failed to comply, but the Supreme Court ruled that their actions were protected by the First Amendment.

Goss v. Lopez (1975)
Holding: Students are entitled to certain due process rights.
Nine students at an Ohio public school received 10-day suspensions for disruptive behavior without due process protections. The Supreme Court ruled for the students, saying that once the state provides an education for all of its citizens, it cannot deprive them of it without ensuring due process protections.

Some are worried that we may have tyranny IN THE FUTURE. I suppose the fear is justified considering that we have it now and have had it for a long time already.

A picture of a gun is not “violence.”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Of course not, real violence is showing a picture of Nancy Pelosi or Hillary Clinton.
