When did we allow this to happen?

I do not know. I am moving to the Philippines later this year. I am going to Davao City. I was there a few months ago. I have been all over the Philippines, and I never saw as many ex pats (Brits, German, Dutch, Americans, Canadians, Australians, Japanese, Chinese,Koreans) anywhere else, as I saw in Davao City. I felt much more freedom. They do not give you a big hassle like they do here. Color me gone.

Good luck to you in the Philippines when the US based pensions and or social security payments stop flowing to you...but perhaps you'll do better than other unemployed Filipinos in getting a job there!
