Moscow (CNN) -- The Russian president is fighting back: no, he did not steal a Super Bowl ring. And no, he's not rocking the diamond-encrusted prize on his finger, either.
President Vladimir Putin's spokesman denied accusations that the leader pocketed a Super Bowl ring that belonged to the New England Patriots' owner, Robert Kraft.
The alleged swipe occurred during Kraft's visit to St. Petersburg in 2005.
"I took out the ring and showed it to (Putin). And he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring,'" Kraft said, according to the New York Post. "I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out."

That was one of the best commercials, ever. The giraffe was a stroke of genius. For some reason, it just works.
I would have liked to have been in the meeting where the agency proposed the idea of him kissing a miniature giraffe.
He has none...... they are all owned by the Forbes family
Well, stolen SB ring case solved. Heh...
Hahaha....Looks like he’s like 4 to 1 donating to dems over republicans...so actually glad PUtin stole the ring....
She looks stoned out of her mind.
Those are obviously connected to "I gave X, sir". Reward me.
He's a Dem through and through.
Didn’t know that. Amazing that Russia would let go of those treasures.
Looks like they’ve been re-bought by others, too:
Sure is; no sympathy from me, for him.
Putin is a thug
KGB = thug.
Some things never change.
Couldn’t care less.

Respect Putin more than Obama. Putin has set Syrian trap for our cursed POS POTUS.
This fits Putin’s MO
At least you know “what” you’ve got and dealing with, with Putin; 0scumbag’s history is totally-hidden.
They had a videotaping ‘scandal’ w/ Bellicheck in 2007, but is Kraft just a cheater?
Well, somebody must be lyin’
How much is a superbowl ring worth? I guess it depends...
As I see it you don’t give a ring or anything to Putin to enjoy and then ask for it back...who did the guy think he was dealing with?
This is really a dumb story anyway....
Putin was most likely a Steeler fan. He should give forward that ring to its rightful destination - Pittsburgh.
