Rohrabacher: Boehner 'should be removed as Speaker' if he moves Senate immigration bill
The Hill ^ | 6/17/13 | Jonathan Easley

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) warned Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) would face a conference revolt that could threaten his Speakership if he allows a House vote on the immigration bill presently being debated in the Senate.

Conservatives have been pressuring Boehner to adhere to the unwritten “Hastert Rule” — named after former Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) — that says no bill should come to the House floor unless it has the backing of a majority of a chamber's majority party.

Rohrabacher said if Boehner moves forward with a vote on immigration reform without a Republican majority, it would be a “betrayal” of his party.

“Rubio is so confused and so mixed up I think that he has given up his rightful place to advise any of us in Washington what to do, and certainly given up any right to be trusted by the American people,” he said. “It was over and over, contradiction after contradiction, lie after lie.”

They virtually all did including my congressman after the tax hike deal with Obama.

Now they have “buyer’s remorse” or is this some way of covering themselves from the wrath they all face.

Over 90 percent of the Republicans we elect are phonies period.

If one is not certain, WTH is he the leader?

Boehner has always supported Obama.

Always.

That is why al Qaeda is weaponized.
That is why narcoterrorists are weaponized.
That is why the borders are open.
That is why ObamaCARE is Law (except for Boehner and his ilk).

Boner should be removed as Speaker, period.

He never should have been re-elected again in the first place, after his dismal performance earlier.

What a bunch of jerks.

There is absolutely no difference between the Republican party and the Democrat party. Most members of both parties are so compromised they can not be trusted to do our work. The members who do stand on principal are always demonized and out voted.

I agree. They have the mouth to get elected but not the spine needed for the job. NOTHING patriotic about them, it's all about themselves/'the club' to be accepted by not rocking the boat.

I support Reps when they do the right thing. Dana is saying out loud what other Rep congressmen are thinking. Boehner will cost them their jobs if this bill gets to a vote. What good is it to control the House if the GOP can't stop legislation that is opposed by the vast majority of Reps?

It is time to draw a line in the sand. Boehner and Cantor should be removed even if the Reps hold the House in 2014--a big if.

Diogenesis ~:” Boehner has always supported Obama. ...Always. “

Its bad enough that the immigration bill is a TROJAN HORSE
But Boehner has proven by his actions , that he too ,is also a TROJAN HORSE

Enough !
Remove him , adapt , and recover !
A “Gang of Eight” is nothing more than progressive overreach, determined only by backroom politics.

This bill represents the intentional suicide of the nation !
Follow the money to community activists similar to ACORN , though they are known by other names , no accountability , no security since it also puts guarding nation borders out of Law Enforcement but now into the hands of the White House , and no border defense , or fence .
Or , how about unlimited Islamcist immigrants when we cant even profile them ? You seriously want more Boston marathon massacres ?
What about the immigrants who already followed the law ? Are you going to ignore them ?
Anyone who can think intelligently , or even read , knows that this proposed bill is another Trojan Horse for progressive change , that will be irreversable .
This bill is the death of a Nation

Supporters will not vote for any of them with the (R) who vote for this amnesty-increasing growth of federal government. Their base is angry already. Of course the dems are going to say, the republicans will lose..duh, that part they are speaking is the truth... so it’s easy for them to say it in the camera...you know..
