Every story has 2 sides. Is their a video? What are the chances that a woman that produces an 11 year old that is already an accused criminal, might be fudging the truth for some cash?
Per facts in story, warrant not issued until after the fact, thus no authority to arrest as no crime was under way or other probable cause. Second, police will not issue an apology unless she agrees not to sue. That means they realize they are in deep doo doo on this one.
Your point is well taken, but the warrant did not exist on May 29th, the day she was arrested. The warrant was not signed until May 30th. That, unfortunately, trumps everything else.
Was there a warrant or not, and if there was one, did they or did they not produce it?
CASE CLOSED. Sue the city and the cops involved should be terminated immediately.
Thank you sir for defending the brave police officers in this case. the woman shoud have been shot on the spot for daring to question her masters. This pesky fact, that at thepoint in time they were there to take the child in custody as authorized by a warrant, no warrant existed is beside the point. These were brave officers of the law and she had better respect their authority. Another reason they should have shot her on the spot. And all they did was take her to jail. And yet she has the gall to complain. Talk about ungratefulness! She is a textbook study about it. Who does this woman think she is? An American citizen? Again, thank you for defending the police. In previous threads of this nature, the cops-can-do-no wrong crowd, a/k/a jackboot lickers have been lax, but you have atoned for their slackness.
Right now on Drudge you can read the story of an 11year-old facing a year in jail for wearing an NRA T-shirt to school and refusing to remove it.
It’s not that hard to be a criminal in a police state.
What if the complaint was from a neighbor..."He stuck out his finger at my son and said, 'bang, bang'."
Yeah, a real potential desperado there. As you said, every story has two sides so let's hear all of it.
The police had absolutely no authority to even be on the woman’s property, let alone coming to arrest a minor child and I don’t give a crap about the reason for that either since it’s not germane to the abuse of authority and the extortion by the police.
There was no warrant, thus, no authority to be acting in that stead.
I don’t give a crap about their “side of the story”, the mother RIGHTFULLY questioned their supposed authority to be there and instead of walking away until they had the authority, she was arrested/incarcerated for daring to question them.
She’s just won the lotto, unfortunately, at the taxpayer’s expense. Now the taxpayers of Slaton should be demanding those jackbooted thugs be fired asap.

You mean like the 11 year old arrest for wearing an NRA t-shirt and refusing to remove it?
