A business owner shot and killed a robber Monday in Newark.
Around 3:20 p.m., the suspect walked into an unidentified business in the 500 block of Central Avenue in Newark with a loaded gun and a backpack, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and Newark police.
The suspect announced a robbery, and ordered the owner to fill the backpack with money and gold. The suspect said he would shoot the owner’s family members if the owner did not comply, authorities said.
But the owner fought back. He pulled his own gun, and shot the suspect.
The suspect was taken to University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said.

No, according to the law of liberals you have to die first before you can legally defend your life. For example: George Zimmerman. He only allowed Trayvon to smash his nose and head in before he defended himself which is illegal. He should have waited until Trayvon cracked his skull open like an eggplant which would have then allowed his brains to spill out causing his death. Only *then* would it have been legal and acceptable to liberals to defend his life, but as long as he used a legally purchased, licensed, registered firearm with a trigger lock and a 2 bullet magazine
Looking at Google Maps, there's only one business on that block where someone would demand "money and gold". It's one of those "We Buy Gold" joints. An ironic side note, on their sign it says, "Need Cash Fast?".

Prosecutors identified the alleged thief who was shot while trying to rob a Newark store on Monday as a 28-year-old city resident who was released from prison three months ago, officials said.
Mustafa Sheffield allegedly entered Top Dollar, a cash for gold store.
Sheffield was charged with three counts of robbery in March 2004 and served nearly nine years in East Jersey State Prison in Avenel, according to state corrections records.
He was released March 21, according to records.
