I do remember that Clinton tried to meet with the families to console them. Cardinal O'Connor was also scheduled to be there. He told Clinton if he showed up, he would leave the event.
Clinton never showed.
O'Connor booked no compromise with Clinton, and he had to be dead for both of them to set foot in St.Patricks.
