A day before the first set of school closings was set to begin, Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis had some harsh words about how the Chicago Public Schools are funded and managed, blaming much of the districts problems on racism. WBBM Newsradios Nancy Harty reports, at a luncheon on education reform, Lewis told members of the City Club that Chicago is the most segregated city in America. Good Lord! How much does this thing weigh?
Can’t think of a better EXCUSE for PERSONAL INEPTITUDE
If only the rich white racists wouldn’t move away,
and stayed and let their families be victimized by violent minorities,
and let the corrupt gov’t officials fleece them in property taxes and income taxes,
then all the minority kids would do better in school.
As I said: Parents, Teachers, and Government. They make or break the system. If one is good, it can often drag the other two along. If all three stink on ice, the whole thing is doomed.
Of course, the government can often help most by butting out...
Step 1. Great public schools with rich white people in charge.
Step 2. Rich white people told, “we don’t desire your opinions on how to run a school”. Leftists take over.
Step 3. School goes to hell and rich white people opt out. Sending their kids to private school or homeschooling.
Step 4. Leftists insist that schools lack proper funds for succes and start a death spiral of increasing costs and decreasing results.
Step 5. Leftists blame failures on rich white people for abandoning the system, and no longer caring.
What do you feed something like that?
Why do idiots like this always assume "Latinos" want to be lumped in with her ilk?
I have to ask . . . does she have her own zip code?
anything and everyting it wants . . .
after looking at that load of lard I doubt that they do . . .
Her belt size is EQUATOR!
If folks in Chicago were really interested and serious about getting the most bang for their buck they need only to visit their own local success story.
Years ago, educator Marva Collins was getting a lot of positive press on her success with educating inner-city children.
She did it without taxes, without unions, without "Whitey" and without failure. She spent a lot of hands-on time with her students to get them reading.
Thus, vocabulary, spelling and knowledge skills jumped and the students could speak and write in complete sentences.
Any one from Chicago or the educational field have an update or comment?
I guess the Chicago teachers who attended the “Marxism” conference at Northwestern Univ earlier this year has nothing to do with the failure of the schools.
And if they had their way....
Step 6. Rich White People lined up and shot and assets confiscated by the State.
She says Chicago is the most segregated city in America? Don't liberal Democrats control the city?
"When will we address the fact that rich white people think they know whats in the best interest of children of African-Americans and Latinos, no matter what the parents income or education level? ---Maybe when we see different results???
If the banks had not crashed our economy, the district would now have nearly $180 million more to invest in our classrooms, ---Honey, the problem isn't money. The problem is the welfare culture and fatherless children.
Spending more money is not the answer. America has the worst elementary and secondary education system in the civilized world, despite the highest per pupil spending of any industrialized nation in the world.
Good Lord. I bet it is a long distance phone call when her right butt cheek calls her left cheek.
“Yo mamma is so fat” jokes could have a whole new meaning.
Another ignorant tribal parasite, not understanding that “rich white people” are the ones who pay for the schools, not the welfare-sucking populace that he represents.
To think she said this on Juneteenth to boot.
