That’s exactly what I thought. In retrospect, it’s actually pretty funny.
No, she didn’t backtrack. She stumbled for a bit, then concluded that I wasn’t a ‘real’ Jew and that I ‘didn’t count’.
The sad part is, some of these people would changed if they were talked to. In our society though, I don’t think we encourage that.
