I go along with a cracked fuel tank that spewed a stream of jet fuel and was ignited by the engine heat burning from the end and running up to the tank exploding it. Same thing happened in the Philippines to a 737 just sitting on the ramp in Manila. Tank ruptured due to over pressure, squirted out some fuel and ignited. You're the pilot, but the thought of jet fuel burning and advancing outside the fuselage at 250 mph at over 13K feet is difficult to picture.
Sitting stationary on the ground is much easier to envision.

Still makes for some interesting engineering conjecture. I’m still with the group claiming ruptured fuel tank theory. One thing to think about. There was no explosive residue in or around those tanks. No implosion of the airframe - there was explosion from the airframe. Just saying.
