Zimmermans fate may well be sealed following opening statements depending on ......... Ill just shut up.
I have never been on a criminal jury, but I have been on several municipal juries for cases involving running red lights, stop signs, no insurance, etc. It has been my experience that many female jurors are loathe to pass judgment on anyone. There's always a few who "feel uncomfortable" about judging someone. This could benefit Zimmerman.
I am a female, and when I was on a jury about a gay guy being “lewd” in a park with a vice cop, at one point we had all women on the jury. I remember the defense lawyer saying he had to add some men to the jury, so they ended up doing so. In the end, every man voted not guilty and every woman voted guilty. The men thought it was entrapment. So we had a hung jury.
WHOA! Never heard that one before... That's a question jurors should be asked ahead of time, 'are you afraid to judge another person?'.... Someone who's uncomfortable 'judging' should NOT be on a jury... ever.
People afraid of fire shouldn't be firemen... those scared to death of water should not be hired as lifeguards... the list is endless...
