We need to encourage their strife until they are burnt out as people and religion
The idea here is to keep all these happy “religious” folks at each other’s throats in perpetuity.
This can be done through judicious applications of arms and ammunition to whichever side appears to be losing at any given moment.

It's probably my imagination, but at the least the reporting of additional support for Assad has ramped up since BHO put his food down.
