I have always liked that lady. She reflects everything that was good about the south and our values over generations; God, family, church, respect for all men, just a great way of life you would only find in the South. Many children were reared with these exact values for many years and some even helped shape the country in a kinder gentler time.
She also seemed to reflect everything the regime would like to destroy. All those historical values we will never give up here in the Deep South, God, family and Apple pie. Paul Deen "seemed" to reflect all those values. "Seems" I was wrong all along.
You have a good point. Notice how her grown children still say “yes ma’am and no ma’am.”
By Paula’s own admission, she dated a married man for years before marrying her present husband. I have never heard her mention God I do enjoy her shows for the most part.
Where did you ever get that idea? Paula Deen is famous for her vulgar mouth, never goes to church, has been a longtime Obama supporter.
I saw through her when it was said, either by her or someone else, that she supported Jimmy Carter.
That was an affectation. She exaggerated the “Southern-ness” for benefit of the camera. She never would have been on the network unless she was liberal. Word is that even absent the “n” word, she was anything but polite and gracious off-camera. Still, she told the truth and apologized, it is a shame it ruined her career AND reinforced a nasty stereotype of Southern whites.
