Obama promised to “reset” the U.S. relationship with Russia, and he succeeded: Russia went from disliking, but respecting, America and President Bush, to loathing, and looking down upon, America and, especially, her president.
The photograph of Obama and Russian President Putin sitting side-by-side radiating hatred spells it all out. One of the reasons given for Putin’s hostility, in addition to Obama’s decision to aid Syria’s Al Qaeda rebels, while Russia is aiding Bashar al Assad’s Iranian and Hezbollah fighters, is Edward Snowden’s revelation that the US is spying on Russia. That, of course, is ridiculous. The US has been spying on Russia since the Cold War began. Indeed, vaguely hostile, actively hostile, and even friendly countries routinely spy on each other.

In all fairness, Putin needs to invite some non-Russian consultants to Russia, with the idea that they could brainstorm ideas that are just “out of the box” for Russians.
Most, of course, he would laugh off, knowing better, but some might give him pause, and maybe a breakthrough to restoring Russia, if he then put a “Russian face” on them.
Big issues, small issues, novelty of thinking frequently results in breakthroughs. Often though ideas wouldn’t work, they in turn spawn ideas that would.
Kinda shucks when we have more respect for the Russian president than the current USA pretender.

Putin’s no airhead...he knows how to incorporate the “rough riders” into his corner if the time comes he needs them. But Putin lets you know who your messing with....”0” hasn’t a clue of the game...he’s leading from behind because he’s doing what he’s told by the powers that be.
I wouldn’t want to be under Putin..although better in regards to he lets you know what your up against and does so in full view with no apologies.
