A jury in Riverside County recommended the death penalty

Meaningless in California. This state has not executed anyone for many years and all the statewide politicos especially the attorney general are stridently anti-death penalty. When Kamela was district attorney of Frisco she refused to charge the death penalty for cop killers. For that, the crazed CA voters rewarded her with the attorney general office.

There is a huge industry where taxpayer paid lawyers appeal and stall while charging many millions in fees. Better they should have given these scumbags life without parole so the taxpayers only have to pay double the amount that Texas pays per year to house them and not the lawyers' fees.

Horrible! ...Problem in CA with their “death” sentences is the convicts submit endless appeals and usually sit on death row for 25+ years, while taxpayers provide room and board.

Every State should enact laws limiting appeals to TWO in a six month only window and if denied, then execution would occur within 30 days!

That would help clear out the CA prisons, instead of the recent Judges’ decision that CA has to release 10,000 from their prisons.
