Until we start holding them accountable, I see little that will change their behavior. Obamacare was shoved down our throats and now they are using the same model for amnesty. You won't know what is in the bill until it is passed.

Thanks very much. I'm ready to start holding them accountable.

I don't think people understand that the Corker-Hoeven "amendment" is 1190 pages long.

If you haven't read the Corker-Hoeven amendment to the Senate immigration bill, you aren't alone. Congress hasn't read it either. The Gang of Eight and the cosponsors of Corker-Hoeven spent the last couple of days boasting about the amendment, and making promises about what it would do, then Majority Leader Reid sent the Senate home with a 1,000-plus-page reading assignment for the weekend. The text of the amendment wasn't released until Friday afternoon. The Senate votes on Monday. Additional handwritten changes to the amendment have yet to be distributed to every Senator.

This is Senator Schumer's version of "transparency."

I wonder how long it took to write this "amendment." I think we are being played for suckers. Both parties had this drafted and held it for the opportune time to give political cover for more Reps to vote for the bill. First, they had to go thru the contrived theatrics of condemning the bill because it did not do enough for border security and the voila, at the last minute, they come with a "fix" to make the bill sound.
