Well duh! Dealers will also tell you that thanks to Odumbo, they have sold more firearms in the last year than at any time in 20, 30, or 40 years depending how long they have been open. People who buy guns also want to buy ammo. Make sense?

Well, no. Five years ago, a gun shop would put in an order for ammo and have it filled in full within 10 days. Now unless there has been an explosion in the number of gun shops, (There hasn't) those dealers should be able to get resupplied in regular time frames, but that's not happening. These well established dealers are not selling more ammo, but less due to lack of supply. And the manufacturers swear that they are running three shifts, flat out. Something that they were not doing before, so where is all the ammo going? Now I can understand 9mm, .40sw, .45 acp, .223, and the like being scarce with the DHS purchases, but where is the .22lr?

Some recent news stories say DHS has also requested 22LR, .410, 45 Long Colt, and several other cartridges that have less than zero law enforcement or security usage. So that’s where 22LR has gone.
