That is why our original constitutional republic no longer works. It will only work for a moral, responsible, honest people. It only works if people seeking office honestly state their beliefs and principles and when elected act accordingly even if it means not being reelected. When people say anything they think will win election and then revert to their true nature in office it cannot work and will not work. So long as lying in a campaign is the most effective way to win election we are screwed. No politician who campaigns dishonestly will ever govern honestly. Of course the real blame goes not to the lying politicians but to the voters who have convinced them that lying and or vote fraud is the only way to win office.

During debate Jeff Sessions alluded to 'enticements' included in the bill or promised behind closed doors. Think Cornhusker Kickback & ObamaCare passage.

I think she is trying to say she doesn't endorse the senate amnesty bill, just the enforcement part. Of course, the senate traitors are not going to remove the amnesty part.
This statement came out after her famous "This Gang of Eight bill is a victory for Arizona." Is she:
1) Backpedaling to recover her conservative creds?
2) She spoke without reading the bill, and is now trying to correct her real position?
I can imgine McCain or Flake trying to sell her: "Listen, baby, we respect your strong stance on "enforcement first" and now this amendment will make sure it gets done YOUR way. And you will get all the credit!" Just give a naive politician something they think will look good on TV....
In a way, I admire politicians who are not super slick, but this makes me think UH-OH!
Horrible timing, they are voting today.

Weeks I’ve been trying to ward off the sense we have lost this country ....it’s very difficult not to when we see these guys pulling the same wagon the same direction...but making it look like they’re not.
I haven’t given up hope for our country yet...but I’m darn near close...if this gives past...it’s done...we won’t just be on a ride as with Obama...we and the saddle will be in the ditch.

This time I would wager that only the Senate is rolling over. I suspect that the Amnesty Bill will effectively be DOA in the House.

Even so I still have the sting from the Obamacare Bill passage....even though this vote is on the Ammendment...it gives an idea how they’re going to swing...
