The goal of the Circus in Sanford is to get both the Stand Your Ground law and the Castle Doctrine struck down, creating court precedent for Leftist activists to get similar laws in other states stricken from the books.

That way, citizens cannot defend themselves when the Gibsmedats come boiling out of the urban kraals. Jesse and Al, as well as the NBPP, have already stated that there will be riots, regardless of the verdict.

Back-door Gun Control, legislated from the bench. That’s all there ever is or was to this case.

Dispatcher specifically said that due to liability they cannot issue an order

Right. “We don’t need you to do that” is the dispatcher explicitly saying that they are not instructing GZ to follow Trayvon. They are also not instructing GZ to NOT fllow Trayvon. GZ was free to follow his own judgement.

I agree that this is the true objective.

The Left depends upon being able to threaten mob violence, to intimidate the middle class. Stand Your Ground deprives them of much of this power.

I wonder if anyone knows, which states have SYG and Castle on the books?

Watch for copycat show trials in those states, too.

As I am reading this, I am hearing Brian Williams saying again: “It should be noted that George Zimmerman is suing NBCNews for defamation of character. NBCNews strongly denies this allegation.”

NBCNews protrayal of conversation:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.

Actual conversation:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.
Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.

No defamation of character here (/s)

And GZ STOPPED following Trayvon.

After approaching Zimmerman and circling his vehicle menacingly, Martin ran off between two long rows of homes.

Zimmerman told the dispatcher Martin was running, and tried to get to a position where he could see Martin to direct the police he believed to be on the way and due to arrive at any minute. By the time he was able to leave his vehicle, Martin was long gone, and Zimmerman told the dispatcher he had lost him and was returning to his vehicle to meet the officers.

Zimmerman hung up, and within seconds was APPROACHED by Martin, who punched Zimmerman in the nose and took him to the ground. Martin repeatedly pounded his head into the concrete sidewalk while Zimmerman screamed for help.

This was seen and heard by multiple witnesses, and recorded – poorly — by the police as a witness called 911.

That was the prosecutor's witness!

You can bet that the claim that "Zimmerman didn't follow an order" won't die. I think the press will repeat that, and the anti-Zimmerman forces sure aren't going to drop it.

Keen observation. And I’m afraid its right on.

Let’s hope that there are enough white folk who still hold true to the constitution.

-- How is that relevant to the guilt or innocence of Zimmerman? --

It wasn't. What was being litigated was whether or not Tracy can stay in the courtroom during the trial. The state has sequestered witnesses Robert Zimmerman, Sr., his wife, and George's wife, Shellie. O'Mara tried to get the state to back off that, the state wouldn't, so O'Mara got Crump removed (he's a witness too), and then tried to have Tracy removed for what O'Mara called "threatening" conduct toward Zimmerman family.

Thirty four states have adopted some flavor of Stand Your Ground.

I would feel better for Zimmerman if he were being tried in AL or MS than FL.

I would feel better if Zimmerman didn’t have an idiot for a Defense Attorney. He is such a dummy.

Yes it was high fives all around at The Conservative Tree House on that line of questioning.

I think you’re right re “didn’t follow an order”. I caught a little of the play by play on HLN today; somebody would bring that up every couple of minutes and nobody — even people who knew better — would correct them.

After watching some more tonight, I have to say that HLN so far is in the tank for the Prosecution. This case isn’t as much of a railroading as the Duke Rape Hoax was — a violent act actually occurred in this case — but I recall very well that Nancy Graceless was at full nostril flare for a good honest hanging right up to the day when a real court made the very rare declaration that the boys were not just “not guilty” but that they were “factually innocent” or something like that.

Just be careful watching that teevee news. If you don't watch yourself, it'll make you stupid.

By my reckoning, that makes this case a worse railroad than Duke Rape. Imagine Duke Rape where the skank beat the shit out of the "rapists", and the state still charges.

Martin, the instigator and perpetrator of battery, not only "gets away with it," he also get the guy he beat up, charged with a crime. It's more than a false allegation, it's a false allegation plus getting away with a free beating for no cause.

You’re the idiot and I’m sure did not watch the entire trial so far. The defense is going a great job. The prosecution? Not so much. I’m sure this makes you happy, right?

Oh brother. A knock knock joke? Yeah...real good. Oh well...I could care less what you think and quite frankly any of these jerks in the trial.

Yeah, I watched that hag tonight for about 1 minute. After spending the day watching the entire trial and listening to her, I thought she was talking about another matter.

O Miera so blew up one of the prosection witnesses today, I thought I was watching a new movie: My Cousin Vinny II.
